Zeinoddin Caravanserai
Zayn al-Din caravanserai is one of the most beautiful caravansaries in the desert, located 60 km from the Yazd-Kerman road. This traditional caravanserai is the only monument left over from the Safavid period, which lasted from 1380 to 1382. Zayn al-Din caravanserai is a building built in the 10th century AH and on the Yazd route to Kerman is the only native settlement of this area. The inn is in a completely different and traditional style and is now capable of accepting hundreds of guests and tourists has it.
This inn is 60 km from Yazd-Kerman Road and 500 meters from the road.
The inn was built on the orders of Zayn al-Din Ganjali Khan Rig, the governor of Kerman and the decree of Shah Abbas Mābi in the 10th century.
Zayn al-Din Caravanserai is located in the 10th century, where gunmen and trustees are located, and nowadays, with its original origin, it has been the hotel of tourists in Yazd.
The inn is architecturally important and there is no other example except the caravanserai between Kashan and Natanz that was destroyed.
The caravanserai’s map is circular and has 5 semicircular towers that are connected to the 8-meter wall.
The building is brick. After a fairly wide expanse of the southern side, there is a vestibule, and then a 12-corner courtyard.
Around the courtyard there are stained porches and the same rooms appear at the end of each porch.
On the sides of the entrance vestibule and behind the rooms, there are wide and long corridors that were the stable of the livestock. The northern side of the room, like the Shah, has a long ceiling with a cabinet.
Inside the building, mainly used for decorative bricks in the front, which is a function of the 12-sided design of the courtyard or its central courtyard. The part of the king is in the body and the ceiling is plastered and applied.
The congresses and runners, the combination of the tower’s curtain and the walls and the facade of all its bricks, have given it a special appeal to the inn.
The most prominent feature of this building is the fact that the east and west of it were pointed out, and water was supplied from the spring, which is also present today.
In 2006, the inn received a UNESCO honorary diploma due to “restoring and restoring traditional materials.”
This monument has been renovated and has become a good place to accommodate tourists.
Zayn al-Din Caravanserai was registered with the registration number 926 and dated 28/5/51 in the national monuments list.
